Quite a bit of content on the BMW Corporate web-site. I'll take mine in Jerez Black with the 19's!

I expected more as an M3, more aggressive look in the front, rear, and side. Nothing with the look of the E46 M3 look looked aggressive with a wider body from the rear. It just look like a regular 06 style 3 series. The only difference is the engine, that is all. Just save your money and just buy a regular 3 series and do upgrade and save the money.

I hope they fixd teh interior, the e90 interior is just too cheap looking, it the new m3 has a nice interior with a nicer dash then its a winner. Outside it looks great =]

I'm not a fan of the design direction BMW has been going the past few years, but I can honestly say that this is a great looking car. It's agressive, but not to the point where it's too much. It's a fresh departure from past designs, but isn't so provocative where the design will grow sour in 5 years.
How the hell can people say it looks like a G35? The G is completely slab sided, and is a very basic and boring design.

Does nobody here care about the fact that the M3 is no longer an M3, but rather a two door M5? 1655 kg! That's more than 3600 lbs - within spitting distance of the E34 M5!
And what makes the M5 special is the fact that it's an understated (well, E60 aside) and comfortable saloon car. It makes no pretenses about being a "sports car." This, well - with the flashy carbon fiber and the gills and the sleek exterior, it's like looking at a 45 year old man who dresses himself out of a Hollister catalog. Watch the videos; no amount of suspension tuning and cosmetic dressing can hide the sheer bulk of this thing.

Not bad...not what I expected but, in a way, better. I'm impressed and, once I hit the lottery or teh Jev wills me some cash, I'd totally like to possibly, maybe, consider owning one.

decided to hold off on buying the Z4 M Coupe...
But I still need to see the car in person first. I think/hope it will look much better in person.

The CF roof breaks up the flow of the design a bit - I kind of like glossy body color sheet metal - but understand the weight-saving performance issue.
The lines of the 335i are very clean and I find the added "M" elements a little distracting. Would I like to have the new "M"...? You bet! Considering the performance of a standard 335i Coupe, the M should be spectacular.

G35? no. Grand Prix, yes. I was really excited about this car until it dawned on me that it looked very familiar.

To M3 or not to M3?
OK let me start off by saying SICK!!!! This car is amazing. It bost power and looks (then again what BMW doesn't) but personally right now, with all the new one's coming out it could go either way. The competition between bimmers right now is pretty tough. I mean we got the 335 and not to mention the new twin turbo 5 (I get excited just typing it . . . .///Mmmmmmm
) Either way, hand me the keys to any of them I'M GONE!!!MizzBMW2u

This car is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Everyone should have one, especially me! The only way it could get any better is if they made it in the Laguna Seca blue color.

I don't like the bulge in the hood. I thin bulge should have been fazed out with 80's rockers!
I also think that it is starting to look like a bad body kit. Don't get me wrong, I like a fast car, but I like one that can say it with subtlety and not need to show off about it to get attention

thats why you have a saab.. if anything this car should have more cf!!! The problem with M cars is they are always scruitinized because they are soo ahead of there time that your frontal cortex cant even process it yet!!! believe it!! in 2 or 3 years it will even make any brand new competittor look dated!!

I don't how people can recognize this with Accord? G35? or anything else but pay attention to detail please. This new m3 is truly unique in its own way and I think the people who are 50/50 on this new look might have to 1)get use to it just as the people who got use to the E90 when it first came out 2)see it up close and personal....I can't wait for the people at Hamann/ACS/Vorsteiner/Reiger etc.. to start tuning and modding the new M3 to see what they come up with...
defiantly they should get a widebody for this car cause I feel like its too narrow compared to the E46 M3...anyone know the exact dimension width and length???

My problem with the new 3-series designs is not as much with the exterior as the interior. When I look at the interior of these new ones, I feel as though I'm looking at a Japanese car. I prefer the raw BMWishness of the previous models.
I like the new engines. The bodies are just okay to me for the same reason as the interior. There is a slight Japanese feel to the tail lamp design. The Japanese have been chasing the BMW 3 series for a while now and suddenly, BMW comes out with a design that aligns more with Japanese sport-luxury design. Not good.

BMW started massing up when they came out with the e46 now this it doesn’t look like a Bayerische Motoren Werk!!! E30 and E36 are the best M3 ever made!!!

BMW can make the new M3 more aggressive with better body kit. The exterior still need better aggressive look. Wait to see the new sedan version, may be looks better than the coupe.
