7 Series - E65 / E66 (2002 - 2008)
Discussion of BMW's 4th generation E65/E66 7 Series flagship. The E65 generated much controversy, due to its radical styling and iDrive user difficulties. Nonetheless, the E65 broke records to become the best-selling 7-series iteration ever, especially after its 2005 facelift.

Speed dials/phone book won't update on BTUM

I have a 2003 745Li (E66) and I had no problems pairing my Treo 700wx with the BTUM (and downloading the original speed-dial phone numbers from the 700wx to the phone book). However, any subsequent updates to my speed-dials does not download onto the BTUM/phone book. The directions in the manual say to simply click once on the button on the BTUM module to update the phone book (to re-download the speed dials). When I do so, I can see on the console screen where the BTUM is re-reading the speed dials. However, it returns with the original speed dials within phone book...in other words, it does not update. I've even re-paired the BTUM with the Treo...and still, no update. It seems as though the BTUM holds on to the initial phone book in memory and won't release it!

Anyone know how to clear out the phone book or update it with the latest speed dials within a Treo?
