2007 4.8i sport- one thirsty bimmer!
i took delivery of my 07 x5 4.8 three weeks ago and put 700 miles on it. however, i am on my fourth, if not fifth, tank already. even when i try to drive slower, my average MPG stays around 11. i am not complaining or anything, but has anyone else noticed such crazy fuel consumption? or is it just too new to judge the true MPG?

I thought I was the only one experiencing this problem, I have the 3.0, and I must say I'm in love with this new SAV, however, it certainly drinks more gas than my last 04 3.0. Currently at 600miles and we've already filled up twice plus the dealer's full tank from delivery. Likewise, I too observed the MPG so long as I'm moving is stuck on the 12mpg even while crusing at 80mph. I do like the fact that the new 3.0 is significantly more aggresive, but I already know I'm going to be extremly vex
when gas prices start moving up again.

I'm getting 14-15 MPG, mostly city driving.
