Is that an improvement in the smooth running of the engine because of quicker ignition and does that mean an increase in power?

That reminds me, I must get some spark plugs, I'll look into the ones you mentioned.

What about them? You get what you pay for. If you want to save $25 on an inferior product, be my guest.

I found these NGK IXs on eBay.co.uk

BMW E36 1.6i 1.8i NGK IRIDIUM IX SPARK PLUGS x4

Are they guaranteed to work in my 318i? On the NGK website it recommends some crappy plugs for the 318i and not these. The ebay seller hasn't given a part code, but I asked for it so I can check exactly what they are. What do you think about the price as well?

I need new sparkplugs on my car. On my M52 5er, I put in Bosch platinum IV+ and I thought that they were very good. But reading up on the Iridiums, they seem to be the best, and only about $1 more. Are these Iridiums, BKR6EIX, multiple electrodes? Would an M50 need multiple electrode plugs? I know I need them because my car will bog down very hard when I shift sometimes in normal driving.

Is this the right part number for my 1992 325i M50, BKR6EIX? Thanks.

IX plugs are single electrode buddy

I hear conflicting things about platinums and have never tried them, so cant really comment

Check this - http://www.spark-plugs.co.uk/pages/t...park_plugs.htm

I just bought those BKR6EIX badboys!

Can't wait to install them and feel the difference! I'll let you know what condition the spark plugs that are in there at the moment are like, hope they are beige tipped and not black or white!

Thanks Pirate mate you've been a great help!
