Sport Mode

I have a 03 745li and was wondering if there is a setting which allows the car to always start in the "S" mode? Right now you have to manually switch it everytime you start the car.

The button should be on the right side of the steering wheel right above the channel changing button. It is a button that says S,M,. Then again this might be wrong because mine is an 03-745i, i dont know if they changed that option on my year...

Just to confirm. The only thing "S" does is have the car shift at a higher rpm, right?

It supposedly makes it more responsive to gas pedal input too.
