Finally got Speed TV!

So what are the best shows to watch, or is it all races?

It is mostly races, but there are some tuning type shows there as well. A lot of it is muscle car type stuff (e.g. Two Guys Garage, I watched them build a Shelby Cobra last night). Car/Driver reviews come on there which are usually pretty good, and they play Bmw Films sometimes. I think my favorite thing to watch on speed is the Rally races, they're trully awesome.

What ever you do, stay away from High Rev Tuners. Your eyes will be scarred for life! (Or is it High Rev Posers?)

That show makes me dizzy with all of that zooming in and out camera work. They are building some 5 door Focus as a "project" car

I usually just turn on the Speed Channel for background noise while I surf the web. Most of the time (at night anyway) they are showing the rally races, which are really cool....I only wish I could understand the co-drivers.

My recommendations:
Autoweek:
Sundays 5:30pm
Mondays 8am, 5pm
Tuesdays 8:30am

Motor Trend TV:
New episode premieres the first Monday of every month, 10pm and 3am Eastern. Please see listings for additional replays.

Motorweek:
Thursdays, 7pm, midnight
Fridays, 7am

Dream Car Garage - they usually show and talk about restoration of cars. But their 'Dream Car' segment is cool sometimes, esp when they drive some of the exotics like the Murcielago they did a few episodes back.
Sundays, 10am
Tuesdays, 7:30am
Wednesdays, 12 noon
Fridays, 8:30am

Some of the specials like the one where they showed a lot of classis Ferrari's is great as well!

"Legends of Motorsport" has its moments as does Autoweek. If you are into bikes Tuesday is for you. There used to be alot more variety before Fox bought it to pimp for Nascar.I miss Drive in Saturday Night,it had some real "classics".
