Hey all,

My name is Jeff and I'm 27, living in Germany. I am a Staff Sergeant in the USAF, stationed at Spangdahlem AB near Luxembourg. I have had the oppourtunity to live over here for four years and have two and a hlaf more to go. They'll have to drag me out kicking and screaming as it is absolutely wonderful over here. Three things that stand as a testament to that are my '94 318i, '06 325i and the German roadways. The autobahn is a good way to get somewhere fast, but this place is chock full of back country roads just begging to have the iDrive plot you a course every time you get behind the wheel. Also, I'm lucky enough to have the Nurburgring only a short 45 minute drive from my front door. 14 euros gets you a trip down the "Green Hell", a 20km road course that has had more than it's share of fatalities over the years. But I digress, it's a pleasure to be a part of bimmerfest. I've been reading the forums for a year now and have always found helpful suggestions and troubleshooting tips on here. Thanks for having me.

As an Ex ExPat that spent 3 years living in Brussels I know that feeling you've got. I take every opportunity I can find to make it back every couple years.

Man, brings back memories. I used live in Prum north of Bitburg border of Belgium, I was a civilian working over there 10+ years. I am still kickin' and screamin' but it did not work. Autobahn is a Beatiful thang. Spang, the closest Popeyes north of the Rhein. Loved Luxembourg played some international pro ball there in my spare time. Go eat at Che' Bacano's just down from the mall and theater in Lux. Rationed gas coupons, that was BS they would give me extra ones and I still would run out (maybe going 270 km everyday on the A-bahn was a llittle much). I had Euro cars with german plates so they were really fast and I made sure that was true, it was. Try going to Belgium, Spa-Francochamps race track it is even closer than the Ring and barely used on open public days, sometimes you can drive thru and they will just wave you on no fee if hardly no one tracking. SO much to see and do, Amsterdam, window shopping anyone, crazy sh!t.

I used to race on old Bitburg air strip, took lots of germans money, great people bad losers, especially to an america but I sprechen deutsche so they loved me and I loved them back. I had a german tuned and modded Opel Calibra twin turbo V6, crazy fast. To funny. Do they still race, I think they were trying to build on the air strip when I left.
