750Li vs 745Li...Which looks better?

Well that's it. Which looks better? I can't decide and was considering upgrading.

I like the front of the 750 and the rear of the 745. But, for me, the upgrade was also worth it for the extra power and features.

+1

I'd go for the 750Li Sport, it is a really nice car.

Yes, I absolutely agree, except for the interior, I like mine better.

The E38 is the second best modern BMW design next to the E39.

you have a 760 and you're thinking of upgrading to a 745 or 750? They both look good. The rear end of the 750 is more attractive though. The E39 is beautiful--I miss my 530i but am still glad to have the 745i.

Well, I HAVE TO vote for the 750Li in that case - but no matter which one you prefer - they all look better than the new S-class..

I have a '02 745i and honestly love the new look of the 750Li's new front, back, and motor.

The S-class has really grown on me, surprisingly, in terms of looks. With the Sport package and larger rims, I actually think it's great looking.

Shame about the way it drives though.

I love my bmw but as with any car, the look becomes dated (the 750 and 745 are the same car....duh...the reason people may like the new style is the newness). The S-Class looks sweet to me and their AMG engines produce way more HP. Does anyone think BMW will fight back?

750Li in Black or Alpine white. Sport Package, optional rims.

745 was great (not considering all the mechanical and electrical problems).

Actually, a friend of mine has one in Alpine white sport, and another friend has one in Black sport. I really can't point my finger on which one is better but one thing for sure. Everytime I see one my heart starts melting...

I currently drive a V8 X5 which is great but not quite like 750.

I have a Titanium 750Li sport package and it looks great without all that chrome. Although the 2002+ 7 series recieved a lot of flak over styling, as you can see by looking at various new Mercedes and Toyota models, They are now stealing the same design ideas from the 7! (Just look at the trunk lines). Although both the 745 and 750 are fantastic looking cars, I would suggest the 750 mainly for the engine upgrade. I know there are faster cars out there, but only the 750 has the combination of size, looks, handling and power, all for under 100K.

I agree that the AMG-engines produce WAY MORE hp, but compared to the 745 and 750 they also cost WAY MORE...

Let's see what the future brings...

The AMG cars are fast, but we do not have the roads or speed limit to truly enjoy such automotive engineering. Get the 750li, it is more than enough car for our roads.

Really

What was it about the merc, which made you think its a shame to drive...
because i test drove it last year as well and found it a pleasure to drive....except the brakes which IMO were kinda spongy and not couping up with the total weight of the car!
However, i think it handled okay....almost kinda like a lexus okay maybe better then a lexus

Agree too.

The back of the 745 is unique, it stands out. I love that in a car. There's no way it can be confused with any other car. However, the front of the 750 has a more modern look than the 745. IMHO

I have driven an S550 a couple times, but never, to be fair, at great length. Also, I've not driven one with Active Body Control (I think that's what they call it... it's a several thousand dollar option). For me, the car just felt big and cumbersome... floaty, really.

By comparison, my mother just took delivery of an LS460 (short-WB). It's not a BMW, don't get me wrong, but I thought it was an enormous improvement over her prior LS430. And, it didn't feel big and cumbersome at all.

Beautiful car, SevenMan. I'm not a big fan of aftermarket rims generally, but your car looks amazing.

Congrats to her to on her new LS460 How does the 8 speed tranny feel?

Well I think the new LS600H nex year will be somethin worth waiting for if u are in the market for a new car.......
Quote from lexus.ca
"The LS 600h L is powered by a high-performance Lexus Hybrid Drive system the first full hybrid V8 powertrain that delivers more than 430 horsepower"

Thats a big achievement for Lexus

IMO I think the 750Li looks better overall.....but if I was to pick anything....it would be the front of the 745 and the back of the 750...those new rear tailights really make the moment

Its jus sad that there are such minor differences b/w the 745 and the 760 (02'-05')

I mean i'll give u the unique 760 wheel design, the V-12 logos on the sides, the shiny black door pillar or watever its called that runs around the doors, and the slightly wider chrome grill with chrome slates......
until unless you sit inside where you can tell jus by touching the roof (suede headliner) that you are sitting in BMW's flagship......with full leather interior...etc etc.....and can recline at the back watching your fav movie while sipping on some drinks with your g/f as your chaffuer drives you through downtown after a lovely evening out..
