Sorry to hear that didn't work for ya. It would have beenhell of a lot cheaper than a replacement part.

It's a great bit of kit though !!
interesting...found the links....another nice option...time to call ESS

yeah, yawn.

that 5er ess ts setup looked sweet.

regarding the CRC cleaner. I just had a MAF that would not clean with it. I sprayed and sprayed only to continue idle/decelration stall issues. I happend to have an extra new MAF and swapped. Ran perfect.

I don't know my friend. My faitth is being tested.

I have the prototype Z4 they worked on for general fitting and installation.

That was 2 years ago, and they have still to release the kit.

May not be for awhile. I just spoke to them 2 weeks ago and right now they are really busy at the facility. If VF can send me customers to install their SC kits then they can have the time to do the work on the stage 2 kits or other models.

I was looking at the VF 6psi kit for $5000.00.
Are the power gains they claim correct?
Has anyone diy'd the install?
How about CPU tuning?

VF dyno results are accurate but results will vary depending on condition of engine.

The supercharger kit is a DIY install however, if you don't have any mechanical skills at all then I highly recommend you take it to a shop that installs supercharger kits.

You have to remove the Engine ECU, aka DME, and send it to VF-Engineering for them to install the supercharger software and they ship it back to you next day air.

Expect labor to be around $1000.00.

If you are from SOCAL, I highly recommend TheMShop! They did an outstanding job on my VF S/C install!

interesting

I love my 97 528i and it pisses me off to not end when other rag on the car for that lack of speed. I have always wanted to make mine a sleeper. Just wondering how much those upgrades are and has anyone put a blown 528i up against a 540.

hey guys!

Hi !

We just started sponsoring Bimmerfest.com and are glad to meet you guys!

Ninja5- have you resolved your issues? If not, please email me nik@vf-engineering.com

The stage2s are being worked on right now, there is no eta, but you can expect to see them in time for Bimmerfest 2008.

If anyone is contemplating buying a kit, we have a 10% sale going on for the month of December and you can get this discount by buying direct from us or our dealers such as The M Shop.

Another great snippet of news is that we are going through CARB testing right now and are expecting to have some good news in the near future.

Anyone ever thought of turbo-ing a 528/530? I sure have...you think the E36 M3 kit will work from Active Autoworke?

Why do you want a turbo?

Just asking because the e39 VFE system is pretty darn good.

just curious...most of my previous cars were turbos, and thats what im used to.

now about superchagers kits...VF or Acitve Autowerke? AA has a kit that pumps out 325 without intercooler while VF pumps out 309...but the VF one looks better in the engine bay

^ Only a twin supercharger for E39 M5. No/little demand for FI from E39 owners, I guess.

True the engines are probably identical. Give them a call. They may want the car for a fitment and such. The last thing you want are problems.

Just reach 160K today. It's time to recharge the KNN filter. I'm thinking of getting the DDM Coilovers installed this week since I am only a few miles away from DDM Tuning. I might have the shop across from DDM Tuning do the install to eliminate any installation problems.
