I (may) need a RIDE!

I have two options:

Drive 3600 miles over five days- alone. Or fly into LAX or May 3rd and hitch with someone up to SB. I'd like to get there for the Friday night festivities and stay through for Saturday night's.

I plan to leave on Sunday if I fly.

Any takers for the back up plan?

We are leaving for S.B. on friday......And we are leaving Sunday Morning.....Burbank would be a better place to fly into, less congestion.......Let me know if I can help

Cool! The whole family? I was actually considering bringing my daughter if my wife will let me. Sure would bring a different spin on the events if she were there making sure I stayed out of trouble.

No, just Amber and I......Sammy is going with the MIL for that weekend.......It's our last get away for a really long time because of the expected baby If you are coming on Friday and you bring the young one, first, you will probably not have fun and second, she may get pretty bad jetlage....I'm not sire how much she travels, but it might be kinda hard on her......Just some heads up

Propellerhead, I'm flying into LAX on May 4th and I haven't decided to rent a car or just take the Santa Barbara Airbus. I'm leaning towards the Airbus and cabbing it while there because I plan on getting inebriated and that wouldn't be a good combo driving.

Thanks for the advice so far. It appears that American Eagle operates a lil commuter from LAX to SBA where my car is reserved.

Because of a somewhat unique circumstance, this will be the route I try on Thursday. I'm working a backup plan if the flights are full. Edit: The Airbus thing looks good. $20 cheaper than my standby flight, too.

Why not rent that orange Z4 Coupe for the day? (I think it's from TC Kline. But I forget.)

And if you need a ride, what kind of Bimmer do you want a ride in?

I love putting miles on rental cars. Just got back from 1950 mile drive in Germany. I'm arriving LAX early Fri and leaving late Sunday. If you need a ride to and from LAX I'll see what I can do, PM me.
