New parts
Alright...
First, I'm sure some of you are sick of hearing about the parts I had on order. Well they're in now, so I can shut up about them. Thanks for your patience with my excitement. Now to the good stuff: I placed an order a few weeks ago for a custom mat set for my car. My car never came with them (bought it used) and I'm using some old generic rubber mats from my stepdad's Jeep, which don't look so hot. They don't work too well either. When I ordered them, they said expect 3-4 weeks for delivery, since they're cutsom for the car, so I had them delivered to my parents' house since I'm moving next week. They came in early, so I had my dad send pics. From the example online, I thought they'd be nice and somewhat tailored to the car, but I didn't expect the amount of tailoring that I got in the mats. Here is the example provided by Bavarian Autosport: ![]() Check it out: ![]() See what I mean? That's some kind of crazy tailoring... Here are a few more shots: Driver's Side - ![]() Embroidery Close-up - ![]() On to the rest of the parts, which are part of an order I placed last week. That order was for 4 PIAA Xtreme White H1s for the Ellipsoids I put in a while ago, along with 2 PIAA Xtreme White LED Wedges for the city lights. I also got some support stuff, too: -A battery mat to absorb any of the gunk that comes off the battery, which can be corrosive. -A nozzle adjuster to keep everything in line (one of the windshield washer nozzles was aimed so that it missed my car entirely and shot my trunk). -An oil travel case (keeps 1 quart of oil for top offs, a collapsable funnel, gloves and hand/car wipes) that fits nicely over by the First Aid Kit and battery compartment in the trunk. Here are the lights: Daytime shot - ![]() The poor car definitely needs a good wash and wax (note the bird crap on the right side), but we're looking at the lights here. Night shot - ![]() The foggy/dirty-looking spots are just the result of the lights illuminating some dust sitting on the lenses. The lenses are protected by a thin laminate, which tends to attract the dust, but it protects my investment, so I don't mind. All I really needed to do was wipe it off with a rag, but I was being lazy. Not sure what's next, but I have a whole list of things... Thanks for looking.

Yeah. I use my own host space for my pictures, instead of other hosting sites, so my space is pretty limited. I figured it was a pretty old post, so I took the pics down. If anyone's interested in seeing any of the parts, let me know. I still have the pics on my comp.

Yup. They're outsourced from BavAuto to some other company who specialises in the mats, but their Berber Mat set is definitely high class. I love them. Call them and ask them for samples. They send them to you for free and you'll be able to see exactly what you're going to be getting and what colour you'll want.
Here's an overview of how custom they are in terms of fitment: ![]() I have more better/pics at home. I'll see what I can do later today. If you do get them, I recommend giving them a nice coat of 3M Scotchgard. It's good stuff and will protect the investment. I'm not so much a fan of the plastic covers and 3M does just about the same job, unless you're grinding dirt into the mats intentionally, or pouring bleach on them. I'll put it this way. Some of you know that I spilled a milkshake in the car about a month ago. It didn't even soak in at all. It just spilled right off when I dumped the mat off outside of the car. I still had them cleaned and I reapplied the 3M later, but it still saved me a lot of heartache.
