I guess you guys all drive gasoline cars. Can you buy diesel X5 s in The States ??
Gone are the days when diesels had the reputation of being slow and smelly. I drive a 3.0D which has a straight 6, turbo common rail engine. I had it chip tuned and it pushes out an awesome 500NM torgue. I get an incredible 8.5 liters/100 KM ( not sure in Gal.) and that is traveling between 90 to 100 MPH. I would never consider buying a gasoline SUV. They are far too thirsty. (Forget the Kerosine story) it is illegal ofcourse. Last edited by swissx5; 05-10-2007 at 02:51 PM. |

We do not have the diesel X5 here in the States yet. Hopefully, next year.

While your diesel will run on Kerosine or Jet A, you will damage your engine. Diesel fuel provides some lubrication which the other fuelds do not.

Thanks for your inputs. Got to mix 2-stroke oil with the kerosine in your tank.
I only heard about. (DONīT try this at home). Kerosine is dangerous, it can explode at 38°C. |
