2004 325Ci Passenger Door Panel Removal

Hello all,

Unfortunately, the subwoofer speaker grill is broken on the passenger side. In order to replace this, I have to take off the door panel. Is it correct that you don't have to disconnect the battery to do this (airbag)? If you do disconnect the battery, will it screw with any of the electronics?

Also, if you have any experience replacing this part, I would like to hear about it.

Thanks

You don't have to disconnect the battery - just don't turn the key to the ON position with the airbag disconnected.

Follow a link in the wiki for the window regulator fix to find more info on removing the door panel.

How big of a job is this? 1hr/door ? ...also, is this a 1 man job or do you need assistance? I'm in the same situation of removing the front panel to re-connect the tweeter...

It takes about 15 minutes total to do what your wanting to do. You dont have to touch the airbag if your just plugging the tweeter back up.

As soon as you remove the door panel itself you should see the tweeter wires. I did on mine.
