Someone would have to forward a request to an admin for it to happen. At worst, they'll say no.

actually this is only forum that I am on the does not need a mod.

Everyone behaves, there no bad language, no flaming and generally things are on topic.

It's a credit to all members here.

I did vote for pirate only because he does deserve some recognition for being his usual helpful self.

Mammy Pirate can now give her son a hug.

Same here. I'm really surprised the self control of the community, everything seems very relaxed and community-oriented. No real bad apples or trouble makers that I've seen.

That said, Pirate, I voted for you a while ago, just because you do seem to know everything about these cars and are always dropping helpful little bits into people's threads, and then going above the norm w/ things like the mod list and stuff like that. Some recognition for you would be pretty nice. And, you've been one of the first to step in and try to calm things down when disagreements do arise, so you already are basically the forum mod, just not officially.

I vote for making it official

When did we have a last good flaming in the E36 forums? I mean a GOOD one, the kind that got to get locked FAST. None I can think of since El Pirata!

I totally agree

I have been a member of loads of forums in the past and the b1tchiness is amazing. As soon as you have something that others dont, they put it down and flame you cos they are jealous. We have nothing like that on here and things only get out of hand when a post is taken the wrong way or a seasoned member makes a joke to a new member that they dont 'get'. This is natural though.

I rememeber being a new member on here and feeling petrified of what the members would respond to my posts, or how they would react to my car. Luckily, i chose the right BMW forum and everyone was very very nice and helpful beyone belief.

I know i step in sometimes and try to calm down threads or issues that are nothing to do with me, but i think of the fest as a place for friends to chat about the cars we love and also welcome new members and help them out too. With the notible exception of a couple of members in the past who were here only to p1ss us off, we are all here with a common goal and passion....Our Bimmers

You guys and gals rule!!
