Ok, this thread has broken 100 posts, and I think the power off the people have spoken. We need to get this to the powers that be and do nothing short of DEMAND Pirate be made our forum mod. Does anyone know contact info for the admins?

I may be a little biased here, but I am sure IF Pirate is made Moderator then he will do you guys proud. He is so dedicated to this Forum and his passion for the E36 is unrivalled IMO

Jon has no contact info that i could find, I tried.
I did not however try any of the others you listed. i did forward a link to this thread, along with a short, but nicely worded letter to a Mr. Alex Bauman, labelled "super moderator" Maybe we can get this ball rolling!

Have you noticed that people who said "yes" have posted a comment but no one has commented after posting "no"

Now we have no way of knowing why!

+1 on that Pirate! If your going to vote yes, or no, please post a small comment as to why you've voted either way. Nop one is going to flame you for voting no, and likewise for voting yes. We have a better chance of getting the Pirate_MOD if we have explainations behind our votes and not sensless banter in this thread.

Personally, I think this forum does need a mod, even if it's not Pirate. There is a lot of post whoring going on in almost EVERY thread that can be cleaned up once a Mod is made available. Another benefit would be "IF" we have a good thread, like, a compilation thread for the FDM mod, how-to's, common issues, etc. we can have them stickied at the top to limit the same questions day in and day out.

It's not like you can't get that stuff done now. Just report a post - we'll take a look at it.

We are not actively looking for any more moderators at this time.

Voted...

I'm new here, but based on what I've read so far (up to page 2 only) Pirate for mod?? Definitely...

BTW, thanks for the link for the Service Manual... As I'm typing this the printer is churning out the 769 pages...

Just wanted to say though, that these service manuals are heavy... I had one for my 1979 Opel Manta, but it was the original book... First time I've had to print one, and I had to separate it into two 3 inch wide binder folders... Dang!!

Still... Having it will definitely help... Thanks again!!

Just wanted to thank everyone for voting for me on this thread, and a special thanks to Mr Tex for setting it up.

I hope i have been a help while i have been here, and have gained a massive amount of knowledge myself reading the threads.

Must admit that i am in no way surprised that i have been denied moderator status!!

Thanks again to everyone (even the anonymous people who said NO)
