Anyone tried to retrofit their center dome light?
The X5 comes with two different center dome lights (over the back seats).
One (standard on the 3.0) has just one large light that is door/switch activated. The other is identical except it also includes two map lights (like the front seats). I'd like to remove my standard light and replace it with the other dome light (so my son can read in the back). Do you think it is difficult? Has anyone tried it?

I have never heard of anyone doing such a retro, but I bet it's possible.
Good Luck. Check with Crevier/Cutter/Pacific BMW for the parts.

I've tried it. Won't work. Wiring isn't there.
