is there cheper way than DINAN

I have been looking at DINAN software and cold air intake, High Flow Throttle Body and much more. And it will take my arm and the leg to pay for all of that. So my question is there any other way to get it cheaper but reliable. I know you probably had the thread about this before but i am new to this site so any help will help thanks.

If i were you, i think the only thing i would get from Dinan is the software. Everything else you can get elsewhere for MUCH MUCH less. They want almost $500 for an intake. K&N or AFe would be fine, both about $200 less. I am sure there is a website that sells a bored stock throttle body and then offers a discount if you send the core back to them.

basically, the short answer is yes. There is almost always somthing cheaper, especially with Dinan products.

a couple good websites are...

understeer.com
bimmerworld.com
carrindustries.com

hope that helps yah man

Just remember never to shortchange your ECU mate

It is the brain of your engine and so cheap chips will do more harm than good...

do the shark injectors work on E36 prior to 1996? because all the ones I have seen are '96 and up.

I think you have to get a physical "chip" for OBDI BMW's. Mine is a '94 and I had an actual computer chip that Dinan mailed and I put it in my DME.

Scary huh!!

In theory, it would work BUT it would have to be EXACTLY the right ambient temperature, the right fuel, the right throttle position

What, what am i saying...IT IS A FCUKING CON!!!!

BTW, you do indeed need a chip for pre OBDII cars
