Few aftermarket wheels look "professional". Those I would say do not.

My $.02...?
Professional and 22" don't work. However 22" and awesome, sweet, nice, bling, etc, does. By the way, they look good on your car.

i they look kind of cool.
maybe if they were black in the middle, or silver instead of chrome, it would be less flashy.

I have owned my car for over 2 maybe 3 months now. It has since been in the shop well over a 1/3 of the time. I want to get a newer one, maybe an 03 or 04. I did all of the research on it, car fax was good but almost every fault that can happen, has in the past month. I am getting frustrated making a "BMW" car payment and driving a Nissan rental on a regular basis. Seems like anytime I do something nice for her (E65) she ****s on me. Got her detailed after the last repairs and the same day fan clutch poof. Goes to shop get it back, put on nice rims, detail her, next day poof. Generator failure, suspension failure, airbag light (3rd time, same seat), and it overheated. Thought it was just one failure and then all of the lights came on but it was actually one that led to all of the others. Opened the hood and coolant was pouring out of the reservoir. It has not been a good experience. I really like the car (body and styling) but I just got one off the short bus.

right around 87k as we speak. Dealership called said the alternator froze, broke the belt causing all of the other problems.

02 w/ almost 90k on it? what did you expect?

You would think better than that from a car that costing $80,000. If a Toyota or Nissan can go 150,000 plus miles without major problems you would think the 7 would do the same. If I have that many problems at 90,000 miles i would be PO too.

Yeah, but some of the stuff that goes wrong at 90k is what you'd expect from a car at 90k no matter what the make. If you purchase a car with 90k, wouldn't you kind of have some type of concern as to what typically needs to be replaced at that mileage? I know I would.

The only point I'm trying to make is it is unusual for a car with 90,000+ miles to have all those problems no matter what the make. I think the guy came in to release frustration not to have someone make him seem foolish for buying a 5 year old 7 series with 90,000 miles. The guy just wanted to sale his wheels not have somebody make him out to be stupid.

I'm not trying to make anyone feel stupid. His car is very nice. The point I am making is evident in my previous post, maybe you should re-read it.

Car had 76 when I bought it. I have had many cars (17 plus) not all bimmers but no matter the make (Ford, Mercedes, Dodge, Honda, Etc..) Have I ever had as many problems as I have with this one. You figure you get what you paid for, but I have had some 10k cars that had fewer problems with over 120k than this has had.

Just wondering, did your originally purchase these off ebay for around 2500? I saw those exact rims maybe a month back on ebay and the buy it now was for 2200-2500. I can't remember the exact price since it has been awhile but i thought of the same thing when i saw them. (since it was a unique style and all) I just thought it was odd that the wheels happened to pop up on the e65 forums also. Eitherway good luck on your sale.
