DIY car wash recommendations in NOVA?

Since my main man, Suga' Shane, has graciously offered to come over to Nova this afternoon to wash/detail my ride, I figured I'd better find a good DIY place nearby (I sure as heck don't want him seeing where I live!!).

Anyone know of any good DIY places around Reston/Herndon/Fairfax?

Many thanks,

hts

Check that other board...

... that board that we do not post on any more. I answered your post there. I do not know if the one I suggested is near your house, maybe someone else knows of one closer to you. What area of N.VA do you live?

I can lend you a hose

I think I heard that Fairfax county does not allow coin-op carwashes.

That would explain the dearth of them

around here, but I know of one on Route 7 near Bailey's Crossroads that I thought was in Fairfax County. Perhaps it is actually in Arlington.

In Michigan, you couldn't drive 3 blocks without running into a coin-op wash. There were also a lot more 10 minute oil change places, and a lot fewer gas stations with mechanics (the latter having all been replaced by QwikEMarts). I've always wondered if there are laws in VA more favorable to these garages than in Michigan (perhaps the state inspection regime, or something).
