E39 (1997 - 2003)
The BMW 5-Series (E39 chassis) was introduced in the United States as a 1997 model year car and lasted until the 2004 when the E60 chassis was released. The United States saw several variations including the 525i, 528i, 530i and 540i. -- View the E39 Wiki

Hi,

Steve used to live a few miles from me about 3/4 years ago and I met him a couple times to discuss his awesome project and compare a few notes with my Touring. He's now moved away from the area and hasn't been active on the forums as far as I can tell. I think just under a year ago he did pop back to announce the car was for sale, however nothing has been heard of since. Perhaps it was sold without needing to be advertised or it was kept, I don't know! hopefully, he'll pop back along at some point to update!
