Slow week again, i have sent the bumpers and mirrors off to paint, finished the electrics (apart from the air suspension that just wants to go up and up...) cleaned and painted calipers, finished the steering, sent roof rails off to powdercoaters, started AV install and ordered my coilovers. It might just get finished.. I have put up some more pics but i will try and put up some better ones over the weekend. got to dye my headling this weekend which should be fun...

Yet again thanks to everyone for their support, makes it all seem worthwhile reading your comments!!

number plates arrived today along with the painted parts, bumpers, wing mirrors, roof ariel etc. looks so much more like a car.

Thanks again guys, it keeps me going when it seems never ending! making some progress, the screen is in the roof, although i am struggling to find the wiring for connecting it into the bmw tv loom if anyone has this info or a link to it please post it!! Thx. I have painted up the calipers for now, We are trying to dye the headliner black, not sure how its going yet untill we give it another coat.... I have been sorting out the air suspension and making sure the tyres dont rub, couldn't resist a pic of the car on the deck!!

The balls bit is probably more stupidity, and the money side so far i have stuck to my insurance payout for the m5 and the money i got for the 540 engine, got to stick to that or do it later, especially with 3 more months before i can work!

The brakes are not great, especially compared to other cars of the same class as the m5. i will put a decent Brembo kit on it next year after my op and when the money starts coming back in! Having nightmares with brake hoses at the moment, the back ones have to be custom made as the hoses come out at a diffrent angle on the touring calipers to the m5 ones.. Typical..

Well its been a mixed day, front seats are in and working, so now the electric steering column works as well. i got all the wiring finished in the front of the car with just all the A/V wiring to do in the boot. Went to pick up the powder coated roof rails...Horrific..there is so much orange peel its not funny, there is even a bug in it... tried to take a picture but it may not show. I like the gloss finish and i have managed to find another company who can do it properly..so annoying..

Dude, you accidentally put the steering wheel in the wrong side of the car!!!!

Jokes aside, great job here.

Working in that tight a space would drive me crazy. Good on you for sticking with it.

Thx and you are right the space is a nightmare, never again in such a small space, i would be done by now with a decent sized garage.. As for sticking with it i think the fact that all of you would be on a plane to beat the cr*p out of me spurs me on the steering wheel was a genuine accident...
