So, how much lower is the idle air feed pipe now?
Did you see what I mean about the idle valve fitting into a pocket on the backside of the airbox? Prevents lowering it unless you mod the airbox...

Extensive work required no matter which approach you take. To really answer your question: The blue tube introduces the idle air to the throttle bodies (downstream of the butterflys). That "device" under the blue tube is a valve that allows the air to flow through. Underneath the valve is a rubber tube that gets its supply of air from the airbox plenum, downstream of the air flowmeter. Naturally, the injectors supply the fuel for atomization. Too bad we need to keep the air flowmeter in the circuit, some nice velocity tubes with "socks" on them would really look nice...
