Steering wheel bearing?

I got myself a 328is over the weekend...first problem that comes up...
the steering wheel squeals and is kinda heavy while turning it...would it be the bearing or hydraulics problem. It also rattles sometimes at high speed...would it be expensive to repair?

Another problem is the traction control light is always on...does that mean a big repair as well?

THanks for your help

Welcome to the fest buddy

Your power steering reservoir may need topping up with ATF if it is heavy. Have you checked your tyre pressures?

The rattle maybe caused by a tracking/tyre problem or is possible your rotors are warped and need replacing.

The TC light - Have you tried pressing the ASC button near the gearshift to turn it back on?

Hey,
thanks alot for the quick reply...i checked the acs button...and didn't work. Also, what type of ATF should I use for the 328is.
One last question, if the airbag light keeps coming on, does that mean there's a problem with the seatbelt sensor?
thanks

also, is it possible that the squeal from the steering wheel means that the bearing needs to be changed...?
thanks

Is the noise you are describing coming from inside the car. If so, could be the steering wheel mount is a bit dry and needs some lube.

Try some drylube from and auto shop.

airbag light could be your seat belts. it could also mean the car was wrecked and fixed back up but the computer wasnt reset.
