Replacing blinker lens on 1998 328ic

Is this an easy task? It appears to be connected to a rubber gasket. I haven't ordered the part yet but wanted to figure out if I should have BMW put it on for me. They would charge me a half an hour.

Any suggestions?

Are you talking about the lens on the fender by the door or the corner light by the headlight? Either one is a very easy replacement. Don't pay 1/2 hour labor for a 3 minute job that you can easily do yourself!

I replaced the front corners, side markers, and taillights and all of them were easy jobs. The corners just snap into place and the side markers you have to unscrew and slide out. Very simple.

The taillights' screws are a b*tch to get at sometimes and the taillights are usually lodged in there pretty tightly but other than that it's easy.

All of them are a cinch. Just be careful not to snap the tabs on the front corners, they do that easily.
