E82 / E87 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by a naturaly aspirated inline 6 in the 128 or the turbo twin power inline 6 rocket sled 135.

I do think there is a whole lot of wishful thinking about the weight and price of the 135i. IMHO, the likelihood of a 3200 lb., $35,000 fully loaded 135i are about slim to none.

This is BMW remember? They nickel and dime you with every option (hello!? fold-down backseat costs EXTRA). $40K will not be out of the question for a loaded 135i.

And given that it has the same engine as the 335i and does not have a carbon fiber roof, you can expect the 135i will be a 3400-ish lb. vehicle.

So for a few grand less than a 335i you get something slightly smaller, different styling, 100-200 lbs. lighter, only available in a coupe, but with the same engine.

For me, I like the 1-series styling and I don't need a sedan, so I'm game. :-)

This is essentially the same speed as the 135i...the 135i is 0-62 in 5.3 and 335i is 0-60 in 5.3...

135i being a smaller and lighter car, shouldn't it be a tad quicker?

However, it does make sense, maybe we'll see the different in the 1/4 mile time..

I see that you drive a Civic Si...myself not being a current BMW owner, are you planning to buy one in the future?
Just wait until we modify it a bit...
