E63 / E64 6 Series (2003 - 2013)
The E63/E64 BMW 6 Series builds on BMW's sporty heritage with aggressive lines and an incredible motor to back the design up. Available in coupe and convertible trims with a standard 4.8 liter engine producing 360 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque, the 6-series is a popular choice that exceeds expectations.

Baby seats that fit in the 6er? (Specifically, Britax?)

My son is approaching the age when a "convertible" car seat would be appropriate for him. Does anybody know if the Britax "Roundabout" or "Marathon" child car seat fits in the back of the 6er?

Alternately, does anyone have any suggestions for other brands of seats that would fit?

This is the seat I'd prefer to get (Britax Marathon in Onyx):

Many thanks for any info!

I am fairly certain that most baby seats would fit in the back seat of the 6. I have a Graco for my 2 year old, and it fits with no problem.

Space doesn't seem to be an issue with those seats. Also, a lot of the Britax bases are smaller (they even make one that fits in the back seat of a 911, and THAT is a TIGHT FIT!)

I have 2 graco seats in mine... you'd be suprised how easy it is to get kids in and out of them. the carseats are good up to 100lbs as well. I do get alot of comments from passersby on the fact that "ya don't see a sports car w/ 2 child seats everyday".....funny, I find it practical

I should add that initially the seat will be in the rear-facing position, in case that makes a difference....

I fitted a Britax Advantage in rear-facing position not long ago. No problem.

We researched quite thoroughly, and are firmly convinced that Britax makes the best seats on the market.
Also, they are the ONLY seats that will fit properly in the narrow back seat well of all the BMW's we've had, including the 6 and the E46 3 convertible.
Advantage, Roundabout, Marathon, they're all great.
.
Now that the kids are older, the Britax seats are for sale, in their original boxes. Just PM me if interested.
