Sounds From the Rear: Explained

Could it be your tires rubbing, since it only happens when the car is weighted down?

I hear this flex disc sounding noise when I'm going slow over uneven roads but if I go over a speed bumps or over a bump at regular speed I dont hear the noise. Also occurs when taking a left turn at about 20mph?

I need help festers. My flex disc is fine so I already ruled that out.

Hmm no it cant be the wheels they clear pretty well. Its like a vibration noise....it happens when i'm alone too sometimes at really low rpm.

i google'd what symptoms would also come with bad rtabs...but i dont have any of those?

When i am really pushing the car (Pedal all the way down) and the rpms hit the red line my car make a loud screeching noise is this my flex disc???

Nope. Assuming the screeching you're referring to isn't your tires spinning, my guess is that it's probably your belts slipping (which they shouldn't be doing).

Shouldn't be. VANOS is chain driven, so there won't be any screeching going on. My vote is either for tires losing traction or belts slipping a little bit when a super high RPM. Is it coming from under the hood or the rear of the car?

mid to front area of the car its hard to tell

Will it make the noise if you redline it when in neutral (not moving)?

no its when the car shifts into the next gear

Probably the tires then, and definitely not the flex disc.

Manual right? If so its probably the belt, from 6500rpm droping to 5000 rpm with the rpms climbing will shock the belts and cause a slight squeel. I highly doubt its the tires chiping (my ///m doesn't do that past second), and they definately wouldn't do that at redline.

My friends e46 325ci makes a screetching/ whistling sound when hes at WOT because his vanos is shot, not aruing your point just justifying my statement

i sat here and thought to myself wait one of the symptoms is the car pulling to one side when brake or accelerating, and my car is doing that and after more researching i labeled myself as a idiot for a second

But now i hear a noise coming from the rear drivers side only when im using the brakes
any ideas?

The only noise that comes from the back of my car is from my new 1000watts JBL woofer
