source a 323i head and build a stroker. A JC chip will give you a noticeable performance boost also.

Oh yeah. Looks to me like your wipers are sitting a little high. You can just take them off and reattach them. They should be sitting a little above the cowling when they are "off." Also, before youdo a chip or anything like that, do a timing belt. Kepp the weight low in your car. The trunk empty and all that. Each 100 pounds of weight steals approx 10 hp.

yea, i know the wipers are low, been messing with them, trying to get them right, the paint ( basecoat Oxford Met. green ) was approx $250, that dosnt include primer and top coat as well as supplies ( sand paper, glazing for slight inconsistensies, other small stuff youd never even think but still adds up, luckily a relative had a hvlp we could spray it with or it would of been even more ), I appreciate the posts, how much more hp is all of this going to give me, 323i head, timing belt, new chip, and whats this stroker?

A timing belt won't give you HP...but if you don't change it every 45-50K the car will make a nice statue.

I can't help you with that. I'm the wrong guy to ask because I'm the type that likes to keep the car strictly stock. For example, when I bought it used it had a K+N setup on it, but I took it off to put a stock air box back in there. There's lots of guys here who will help ypou with that stuff. Bryce, Swiss, Matt, and a couple others come to mind. Good Luck, and welcome.

with the 323i head your car will essentially be a stroked version of the 323i, that is, with a longer stroke and gobs more torque. it will keep your 2.7l displacement, just giving it a bit more power and torque as a result of the larger intake valves and hotter cam. but of course with the head comes other things such as intake manifold, throttle body, dme.

depending on where ur from u could get away with spending about 2k and having a pretty descent little car. but thats in Australia where the euro 323i stuff is pretty common, dnt really know about availability in the US
