Tranny Part ???

Guess what...the 328xi has demonstrated some of the same characteristics of the tranny problem. This has been recognized by the service dept. So what are you supposed to do...avoid the bimmers altogether? I know that my father's '07 MB S550 has been in the shop numerous times for computer issues.

These cars are all computer designed...these issues take trial and error. My '04 X3 was in the shop until the week before this one came into port for the door/sunroof squeaks and leaks...almost 3 years with no true fix.

I must be having a good day...normally I'm hitting the rails over this stuff.

If you note the previous poster is refering to a '07 328xi--most of the trans complaints are with the '07 6 speed auto. A recent poll of trans problems showed the majority of '07 owners (67%) had issues with their transmissions. It appears that the 5 speed works better.
