318i idle control unit (1985)

By any chance, can somebody tell me where the idle control unit is located at on the vehicle? I've checked my Chilton repair manual, but can't find anything out about it's location. I just bought a new idle control valve, which included an idle control unit. But I just can't find where it goes. It looks like it mounts to something. Thanks.

What color is it? Green one is located inside the glovebox. Or if it's like the early euro cars, it mounts on the firewall.

The replacement is green. I'm not sure what the original one is, but I'll check both places. Thank you Very Much!
