Transmission Swap
Ok im back again with another ? for my fellow educated E36 drivers
I got a 92 325i still got my stock motor and 5speed tranny in it. I just bought an 1996 E36 M3 5 speed tranny And I want to cwap my transmission for this one. I thought that I could just swap transmissions, upgrade my clutch and evrything will b fine, but people are tellin me there is more i need to do Need help, takin comments, suggestions. Wateva can help Can some1 tell me what parts I am going to need, the procedure etc. |

Im not 100% sure of everything that you will need, but a new diff and propeller shaft comes to mind.
The M3 Tranny will have different ratios on the gearing so these will have to be changed so the car dosnt go out of wack. I would also hazard a guess that you may need different mounts. Im pretty sure they just done 'bolt out, bolt in'. I will make a few more enquiries and make another post. Cone XXX
