trans in limp mode--update

Dropped off car Sat afternoon--picked up monday afternoon--trans reprogramed to
sib24 07 07. WOW what a difference--the SD is actually fun to use now--upshifts and downshifts as fast as you move the lever--NO HESITATION--before I did not use SD because of erratic shifting--now its great, the car accelerated through the gears like a rocket. --shifts are firm and fast. In "D" mode shifts are smooth (except from 2 to 3 there is a bump)--slight pressure on throttle gets quick downshift--and comming to stop downshifts are now smooth. My car is fun now--
Time will tell if this fix lasts--lets hope they got it right--
Just a note--as good as it is its still not as smooth as the '04 X3 loaner I had---but other than that the '04 was junky compared to the '07. As soon as I pulled out of the dealer the difference in the 2 vehicles was like night and day. Stay tuned Folks--I will keep updating over the next weeks.

Most recent SIB

I have had sib 24-08-07 AND 24-11-07 done and neither lasted more than a few days.
Never have seen reference to 24-07-07 before. My Feb. 07 build has good days, but overall
in city driving it's hesitation from dead stop and jumpy hill climbing are getting very old.
Is it possible the 07 in the middle is a typo ? My most recent was 11. If this sib is more recent than the 11 version I had in July , I will go back to service for another try .
If any of you have info on a new post 24-11-7 sib , let us know !

The 24-07-07 bulletin is specific to the trans in limp home mode complaint, not the general hesitation complaint. The fix for both is the same, but they created a different bulletin due to the fault codes found in the limp mode situation.

Someone on the X3 world forum stated that they called to schedule a reprogram and their service adviser told them a new program revision for this problem is coming out end of September.
