Are all m-tec rear diffusers the same size? I need to replace my single exit diffuser on my 318ti compact with a double exit to accomodate my new exhaust..need to know if i can buy anyone off any m car?

if you don't have an M bumper, and you want the M-type then you need to buy the aftermarket m-type diffuser for the non-m bumper. if you just want more outlet space, then any diffuser off a non-M bumper with dual outlets will suffice.

Makes sense, but if you have an M-tech rear bumper, then any oem m-tech diffuser should fit. Odd that the OEM m bumper you have only has space for a single exit.....

What are the visual differences between an M-tech and standard bumper?

Very, very little aside from the diffuser. The lower side portion near the diffuser is VERY slightly different. The standard is more rounded than the M-tech or M3 style.

It's funny how things turn full circle. Red Bimmers were VERY popular at the end of the 80's through the 90's. Then it went 'out of vogue'. Now, however, BMW are reintroducing red Bimmers. I knew if I held on to my car long enough I would be fashionable again
That said, I think my convertible looks absolutely gorgeous in brilliant, SHINEY red. She is a real 'head-turner' even now But what colour I would 'choose' for my next convertible is difficult - probably a stunning dark blue

yup gotta love Dakar,, searched for years before I found one and iv only eva passed one other the same..but it was totally standard..it certainly draws a crowd an people turn where eva u are..love it!! My ol' mans just ordered the new convertable..in Alpine white, he's still deciding whether to get the roof done in a contrasting colour..im trying to talk him out of it! he wanted the car red with a black roof..i reckon with the hard roof it would have made it look like some dodgy 70's car...
