If you only own one car and it's a coupé, it's not really practical if you have a family.

I'd rather have the coupé since I don't have any of those issues yet, but they were too expensive, too rare when I was looking for a car, and insurance is higher for basically, no reason that I can see.

I have no family. Just a roommate with his own car, and a ferret who has no complaints about the size of my back seat. My coupe is perfectly practical for me.

Coupes are they best looking, handling and if you have a family buy a people carrier and let her take the kids while you have fun in the coupe!!!!

Woohoo! Anyone that has more than 3 kids may need a people carrier, any less and they certainly will not!

Boo.

No, I love my 4 doors. car looks superb either way. Each to his own. The design of E36 is always good, coupe, vert or sedan. Even tourings are kinda cool, in subtle way.

And one more thing. Coupes are overrated.
