Truthfully speaking, while in Europe I doubted many showered more than once a week. Hopefully the Colognes & purfumes are not the answer to zero hygiene.

I continue to wear Polo. Have gotten excellent responses...

I've been using Paul Sebastian for several years. It's not very well known and I get a lot of compliments and questions on what cologne I'm wearing. Unlike a lot of others it's very light and smells great.

John Varvatos "Vintage" -the daily for the past year
Burberry "Touch" -went through a small bottle, replaced it and grew tired of it
Issey Miyake "L'eau D'Issey Pour Homme" -bought on a trip to Paris in 2001 still wear in the Summer for a change
Zegna "Zegna Sport" -bought on a whim, stays in the dopp kit as it is less than 3oz for air travel.

I wear cologne daily, just one or two sprays on my chest. I would say that I get compliments on a regular basis and the wife likes it. I work in sales, so hygene is important and I like smelling unique.

Generally speaking most people shower at least twice a day over here. In southern Europe the figure is probably even higher.*

Honestly speaking

The French had horrible B.O. and reeked of smoke.

Italians had stinky feet ! We were on the Euorail train and in Italy they packed us in like Sardines. I had to plug my nose as much as possible.

* Theere seems to be a shortage of orthodontists though.
