my 2000 740IL e38 electrical problems

Hi
I am new to the forum and I'm in need for some help with the problems I have with my 2000 e38.
Ok, I took a chance and bought this car simply because it runs strong, with the transmission pulling and shifting like it should.
The car also appeared to be well kept but has a scary 223,000 miles on the odo.
I discovered electrical problems when I was checking it out but more occurred a week after I bought it hence I been having it for 3 weeks now.
1. No brake lights at all
2. No interior lights whatsoever
3. Left front turn signal light not working
4. Right rear turn signal light not working either
5. No fog lights working
6. Rear doors power windows don't work
7. Power mirrors on both sides not working
8. Numbers and error messages on digital readouts in the instrument cluster are only partially displayed and nearly unreadable
9. Driver door lock will lock only manually when the others are unlocked while the door is close.
Have to lock driver's first before locking the other door locks.
Now the newest problem I just encountered, the car accellerates slower than normal and it started doing it after driving for a bit.
Check fuses and relays in trunk and under the hood, and changed bulbs....nothing!
Can anyone with knowledge about this particular year and model car can let me know what's causing these issues?
Car has well over 200k miles but the in and exterior are in decent condition and motor still runs hard.
Thanks

Any evidence of water in the cabin? Most of your issues are handles by either the General Module or Light Control Module. You also want to make sure you have the proper battery and it is fully charged. It's impossible to diagnose this car with a weak battery. Low voltage causes all sorts of issues. I don't think that is what you have going on here but it would not surprise me either. I would check the connections on the modules. The GM is accessible under the dash but you will need to remove some trim to get to the LCM. If you have evidence of water inside the passenger side, there is a fuse block under the seat, along with several splices.

Sorry, Photobucket seems to be down.

On your acceleration issue, have you had your car checked for codes? If not, I would have them checked and cleared. You may have old codes stored that can throw you off. Most auto part stores will do this for free or you can pick up an OBD II reader. Once cleared, drive a few cycles and see if anything pops back up.

Turn signals and lights issues are more than likely LCM which is located jn the right kick panel. Definitely check for moisture in that area. I had a similar problem on my 750 and it was because my windshield was leaking water. I replaced the lcm and the windshield and now it's fine. As far as dead pixels on the instrument cluster that is common issue. Check ebay for cluster repair its about 120 S.
