The competition this year was probably the stiffest ever this year. What a daunting task for our magazine editors to come up with the winners; clearly, probably hundreds of serious contenders could have made the short list, but the vehicles below were chose to represent this year's winners.
If you have any pictures of these vehicles, please post them in this thread. Best Stock Class 1. 1974 White 2002 Turbo owned by Chris Provo. 2. Jet Black 740iL owned by Carlos Cardenas. Carlos, if you see this thread, I have your trophy. 3. E34 M5 Touring owned by Greg Schultz. Best Classic Class 1. Jet Black E28 M5 owned by Ron Perry. 2. Golf 1976 2002 owned by Jerry Boydston. 3. Inka 1974 1802 Touring owned by Steve Padrick. Best Modified 1. Gray E46 M3 owned by Jeff Hsieh. 2. Blue 1995 840Ci widebody owned by Fern Mora. 3. Blue 1996 Z3 widebody owned by Raymond Lieu. *********************************** BEST OF SHOW ("The Ultimate Bimmer") 2006 E90 325i owned by Dennis Wang ![]() We had a lot of supercharged cars at the show. And, we had a few turbocharged cars at the show. Dennis' car is supercharged and turbocharged, the first I've ever seen in 9 years of Bimmerfests... Congratulations to all of our Battle of the Bimmers winners!!!!

Thank you Jon, Tim, and Mark, for a great event, and even considering my car for an award. I appreciate the recognition.
These guys followed me all the way to the Mission trying to steal my trophy....

Don't odometers only have 5 digits? How do you certify the most significant digit?

They have 6 digits. I think my moms 81 Buick only had 5 digits. But e30's have 6 digit.

![]() Hey Jon, am I the first guy to have two different Bimmers place in the top three (remember my M6 won the Stock Class in 2006)? Another fantastic job by you guys; you ROCK! Now, who do I have to wrestle for my trophy? Carlos

I'm pretty sure Ron Perry has had a couple different cars win too (both E28's of course).

Thanks Jon. I had a great time again. I was surprised with the third place stock trophy. There were so many beautiful cars that could have won. I appreciate it and I'll put it next to last years. Now I'm like a girl who can't wear the same dress twice to parties. Hmmm, what will I wear(drive) to next years 'Fest.
Greg

Jon,
How do I get a hold of you to arrange pick up of the fabulous trophy? I sent you an e-mail to the addressed I had, but... no reply; maybe it's outdated.

i have a question, am sorry if its not in line with the thread, but which states is further away from california, atlanta or D.C? i drove from atlanta in my 1986 325es all stock and some guy said he drove from D.C and the crowd said D.C was further. i mean at that point i didnt think it was fair, i know its just a trophy but this is my first ye the states and i was hoping to take something home with me and besides the drive was fantastic... THREE AND A HALF DAYS OF DRIVING. but yea it was a blast and the people that made fest possible, YOU GUYS ROCK. thanks alot for the time u put into it, it really was worth the drive.
