group5 quoted me $85 an hour with 1-2 hours of labor on installation of HID low beam bulbs, angel eyes and an HID kit for foglights
, looking for sources with reasonable pricing.....any suggestions or DIYers/technicians that know what theyre doing give me a holler! (looking for professional installation because i dont want to do it myself) Last edited by bimmer1904; 10-09-2007 at 07:12 PM. |

its not that hard my friend... hid capsules are extremely easy to replace, angel eyes require some patience but are simple as well... the hid fog lights require some wiring... i could totally see where the 1-2 hour quote came from though...

no doubt.... it's hard to locate a reputable shop here in SD... either they've never worked on a 7 before... or they have and are hesitant because of the troubles it can bring.
Group 5 looks like one of the most legit out here. As far as the Nav 2 Go... do you know much about this? Someone told me that the car would need to be programmed for it to work... i have no idea! where in SD u from?

BMW Mastercare in San Marcos, CA does good work. They replaced my angle eyes for $45.

runnin - no issues with the lights? I heard that once they remove the actual housing - sometimes its not the same... or did they even have to remove the headlight to get to the angel eye bulbs?
I'm trying to find a shop local here in SD that will be able to hook up the exhaust... i saw a few folks here with the dual exhaust system - and it looks clean. you think this shop has the skills to perform this? thanks, man...

I havent had any problems to date and its been about 10K miles since. They didnt completely remove the headlight, just loosened it up so they can get in there. on the left side where the intake is, they removed a part of the intake so they can get in.
I've seen lots of modified BMW's there so im sure they can handle the dual exhaust. Give em a call and see 760-752-5269 Talk to Wayne, he knows his **** and let em know Marko referred you, the guy with the all white 745.
