Looking for 524td owners, advice, warnings

came across a 1984 lincoln with what I believe is a 524td diesel in it. Basically, just looking for any advice on the motor and caring for its health.

Its a factory job, and what appears to be some ford limited edition Armani trim style or something. Engine looks in good health, apparently has less than 60,000 miles on it, has a couple of simple injector return line leaks, but otherwise solid.

Im about to jump in this beast and drive about 300 miles and I want to make sure that it can make the trip. I have driven an 85 524td, and this thing must weigh an additional thousand pounds on the same motor.

Thanks in advance for anyone who wants to put their two cents in.
