Beautiful car. The interior update is especially interesting. What sort of adhesive are you using to glue the alcantara to the panels?

No it was standard, along with hood and mirrors. It's a 95' model.

4 Litre V8 S/c

[QUOTE=E34 520i;2743827]Actualy in one year from now, a 4.0 litre V8 with supercharger is going to be the hurt of the car......

First of all, congratulations on a fantastic project-you are putting in a lot of effort, and when you are done it WILL BE WORTH IT because E34s rule!!!!!

My question: which supercharger are you considering? Dinan (Powerdyne)? ESS(Vortech)? RMS? When I was researching this a few years ago there were some local aftermarket tuners here in northern California putting twin screw roots style blowers into Mercedes. One of the issues you will be challenged with is the diminishing market for e34 parts/accessories-after all, our cars are 13 years old!!!! I have an e34 540 Sport model and I have considered s/c and forced induction, but by the time you do the big brakes, pipes and everything else, the cost of the upgrades are 3X the value of the car you started with, which means you can't insure it!!!!

Anyway, best of luck with your project-I have no doubts it will be one of the best e34s on the planet-JTSAO (jtsao@tsaodesign.com)

PS: your license plate should be "AMALETITA"

Actually im'not going to put the M60 4.0litre but the M30 3.5litre.
I wanted to, but there is no room left with the V8. I am a mechanic and i don't like full engine bay's.
The M30 leaves plenty of room for my upgrades and for a quick fix (if needed).

But when i was looking for the M60 i really like the ROTREX solution with the C38-61 unit.

http://www.w2wpowertrain.com/pc-22-6...300-500hp.aspx

Now i am going to the smaller C30-94 unit.

http://www.w2wpowertrain.com/pc-28-6...250-400hp.aspx

And yes for some is not worth to give all this money and time for a 13 year old E34. But i don't care. I love my car.

"AMALETITA"...... Eeeeem, What

Congrats on an excellent project, lotsa $$$$$, but hope the 'twins' like i!

But please, mate, don't call it an ALPINA...P-L-E-A-S-E? Chassis number 'n all? It WILL never be one!

No ALPINA badges or wheels where they're not supposed to be, etc! I own one of only four E34 ALPINA's in Australia, but believe me, people still know whether it's genuine or not. When a car isn't...it can lead to embassising questions.
Otherwise, great job, good luck!

Thank you rcshott for your good words.

I know my friend that is NEVER going to be an original ALPINA and i don't expect to be, but just because is not genuine it doesn't mean that i can't make her look like B10.

There are hundreds fake M5's and ALPINA's out there with only ALPINA rims or ALPINA deco set or just a badge.

If you got a debadge B10, is that make her a simple E34?
Or if you take a crashed B10 and put all the parts in to a simple E34, is not worth it?
Just because of the VIN?

Don't forget that the B10 and B10 biturbo was based on a simple 535i just like mine.

I' am in love with the B10 (more then M5) but unfortunely not single one was sell in my country.

That looks amazing.....

I have just taken ownership of a clean 740i, and I am very pleased I don't need to do all of the work you have done....except the paintwork needs looking at....

But, I remeber restoring my first car - an Alfa Sprint 1500 Cloverleaf edition, when i did all this just like you are....and now...I'm reminiscing at how much fun i had doing it!

good work fella!

At first congratulation for your car! Very nice job!
I'm also a BMW E34 fanatic. I'm writing from Hungary. I have a 530i 12V and under construction a 525i 24V, it will make 528i.

Good luck and endurance!

PS: Sorry for my english, if it's not perfect.

Hello Pensive, and thank you for your good works. My first restoration car was a 79' Lancia Beta coupe. And you are right!!!! I am enjoying my work and i still have it (i just can't sell my first car.....) and the restoration of the E34 is a piece of cake.

Hello guys, it's been a while since i wrote........ TOO many work.....

OK here is the new data:
I trade my factory beige leather interior with 2 power seats with memory from an M5 E34.
They are covered with grey leather but i will ghange them with white leather front and back.

Your going to love this....

I found a new and unpaint front alpina spoiler from a B10 4.6.(This is not my car):

A new and again unpaint rear spoiler from a Bi-turbo:

And a new ALPINA-VDO digital cluster in black from a Bi-turbo (very rare) with:
Oil pressure
Oil temperature
Diff temperature
And boost pressure

I also found ALPINA floor mats and a gold deco-set. ALL genuine.

I'm going to purchase a set of 4-pot BREMBO calipers at the front with M5 discs (345X32) and that's it for now.
