Not the greatest pic but the only one ive taken lol..Any suggestions on how to black out the chrome trim (besides purchasing the non painted ones from the dealer)???

For the black out I used vinyl to wrap mine. There are sites that sell vinyl shadow line tape, but I choose to go with a 2'x30 sheet of comp-u-cut vinyl, purchased off eBay, so that I could cut my own pieces. As a first timer I wrapped my grill surround, front and rear PDC trim, window trim, and tinted my reverse lights and blinkers. I would recommend doing a search on vinyl wrapping. I got most of my info off of e90 post. In all I had $37 and about 10 hours invested. I still have some left over material and I have done some work on my friends e92 335i. I stripped it all off about a month ago and my car is now back to stock trim after being blacked out for about nine months. IMO this is the best way to go as it can be easily removed and is super cheap. The only other means of blacking out trim I am aware of is having it painted or dropping a few g's on the real thing. If you are interested I can probably find the eBay seller I purchased from. Don't think I have posted pics in this thread so I will go ahead and post a few to show you how it looks.       If you are not a DIY type guy there may be professionals in your area that do this kind of work. You can also look into companies that wrap the advertisements on vehicles. I loved my car blacked out, and if I wasn't ready to sell it would remain that way. I must say that I am getting at least twice the looks, waves, and thumbs up with my chrome trim as compared to the black. It seems that the chrome appeals to the masses while us enthusiast prefer the more sporty look of the black. Took my signature picture after removing the vinyl and a fresh clay bar, seal, and wax. Db750, Wow thanks for all the info! Judging from your pics (which btw looks awesome!) ill mos definitely try that out! I work at a infiniti dealership so im sure i can have one of my guys help me out once i get frustrated doing it lol. The center caps were originally on the wheels when i picked up the car, I recently lost one somehow so going to pray i can find a replacement cap in our warehouse. Your car looks great with black and with out, i personally prefer with black trim. Hopefully I can sell these wheels and pick up some nice 22s in the future. Thanks again for the info and will hit you up if i have any ?s on the vinyl!

New 750i MSport owner
Hello, Picked up a 2004 facelift 750i M Sport last Saturday.
(Yes that IS a 2004 facelift car!) One week later I am still trying to come to terms with all the toys and things. Got many questions, but I'll see if I can solve any over the weekend first. Here are some pics:

I am new here, and new to e65/66s. I have had a e34 525 with AC accessories, a E38 740i with AC Schnitzer accessories, and a E31 with CSI accessories. All of which were J-Spec cars. This is my 2002 E66. It was brought back from Las Vegas in the summer. Its lowered on 22X10, 22X11 MHT Stoke wheels.
