SSR GT3's Installed - Many Pics Inside

I took off early from work today to make sure that I was around when my wheels got delivered. I got home at about 3:30 and the wheels were already waiting for me.

The first thing I noticed about these wheels were their weight. They weren't heavy at all. I would say they weigh close to or a little less than the M68's. One thing I can tell you is my Mille Miglia Evo 5's (winter setup) are the heaviest tires I've ever picked up.

Anyway, it took me about an hour to install. My buddy who lives next door and owns a 328Ci helped me out. I took a ton of pics, both during the day and at night so bear with me.

Here we go.

The first pic is a comparison of the rear M68 vs. the rear GT3. I should have taken a pic of them side by side.

Looks good Ack, i must say the rims match very well with Titanium.
New rims is one item on my wish list.
So where did you order them from, can I ask how much?

I got them thru Tirerack. Total cost was a little under $3,050. I went with the 9.5" rear vs a 8.5" front rim. Tires are the S03's which ran about $800 installed.

You should try www.leatherZ.com. They sell the G2 Caliper paint system for a good price. I used the blue on my Alpine White M Coupe and it held up incredibly, track events, etc. Like new after a year.

If you go to their site and find the G2 kit, the M Roadstar wheel with blue caliper paint is mine...

Highly recommended! (Although you'd probably want to go with black. It's glossy and would look super clean with those wheels)

Thanks Adam, I'll go check this out. The calipers really take away from the look of the entire wheel.

Tell me about it. I live in a really safe area so I wasn't going too nuts; just a little.

Artslinger - I have two sets of wheel locks. Only one is on the car currently.

Great looking wheels. If they made them in 17s I would have got them instead of the GT1s.

I saw them on your car, they look really hot! I don't know why SSR doesn't make these in a smaller size.
