No kidding, I had the 1.8T and had to remove the coolant reservoir to get to the oil filter from the top of the engine compartment! And, in addition to all that, I had to remove a huge underbody panel to get to the oil drain plug.

On another note, my 2003 325 does not have the access panel underneath the oil drain plug as shown on the new site. I did a search on this site and some people said my car should have one and others said that my car should not have one. Anyone know for sure?

Thanks.

yep 1.8T is a pain, I reached through the engine to get the filter off but it is difficult.

Hope my 02 has the access door.

I've seen cars new on dealer lots with no door. Mine came with one but fell off a few months later.

Don't count on having one, and if you do, don't count on keeping it very long.

My came without it or I lost it without noticing, I doubt it tough.
I wonder if somebody knows the part #, maybe if I complain long enough dealer will put it on or I'll just buy it .
