The lease on my 2004 X5 3.0i is up at the end of the month, and I put in an order for a 2008 X5 4.8i a few weeks ago with the following options:
Titanium Silver Metallic Black Nevada Leather Dark Bamboo Wood Trim Premium Package Sport Package Comfort Seats with Lumbar Support 20" Light-alloy Wheels Y-Spoke (style 214) with Mixed Run-Flat Performance Tires Comfort Access System iPod and USB Adapter Park Distance Control Estimated delivery is mid-February, no deposit required. We ordered a 2008 550i about 6 months ago in the same fashion, and it's been an awesome ride thus far. In the mean time, I'd like to get an idea as to how much I can expect to pay over invoice in Southern California for the X5. My wife and I have had about 5 BMW over the past 10 years, and have always worked with the same advisor from our dealership of choice. We generally lease for 3 years, at either 10 or 12k miles annually. In the past, we've put down refundable security deposits to pay down the monthly payments. Any advice you may have to offer is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jason |

Thought I'd provide an update to my original post...
I've been able to locate a remaining 2007 X5 4.8i at a local dealership, but it has a number of options I'm not really interested in. The MSRP on the 07 is about 71k, but they've drastically lowered the sticker. On top of that, there's a 3k rebate running until the end of the month, so for a 24 month lease, 10k miles a year, and 5k down, I'm looking at roughly a $765 monthly payment, including tax. Obviously, that's a great deal. When I'm scheduled to take delivery of my 2008 next month, the money factor is supposed to be better than it is now, but I'm not quite sure I can get the payment even close to $756, even on a 36 month lease with multiple security deposits, etc. I'd be ok with paying about $825 per month for the 2008 priced at about 62k, given it has the exact options I'd like, as well as the fact that it hasn't been on the lot for quite some time. Thoughts? Thanks, Jason |

You are ordering something and not knowing what you are paying? What am I missing here?

Rebate
What kind of rebate. I just ordered an 08 x5,3.0, and nothing about a rebate !

The money factor does change from month to month. I obviously know the price of the car I ordered, but can't predict what the rates will look like come February 1st.

The 3k rebate was on 07 models left in stock. I ended up getting an 07 manufactured late in the year, with a MSRP of about 70k. The dealer dropped the price to $800 below invoice to get the deal done. I ended up with a 24 month lease, 10k miles per year. $4900 drive off, $689 a month, including tax. I really wanted to take delivery of the car I ordered, but this deal was really hard to pass up.
