Fuel tank gauge problems (round 2)

ok, i posted a while back about an erratic fuel gauge - that would show 3/4 full after i've fulled the tank. (miles-left would say 275 or so). then after a little while the tank would either go to full or stay at 3.4 full and lower from there.

I had taken the car in and the first 2 times I got the "we can't do anyhitng about it unless it's happening as you bring it in)

when i brought the car in for oil service I they took care of it without me mentioning it: here's what the invoice said:

CUSTOMER STATES INTERMITTENTLY WHEN FILLING UP VEHICLE WITH FUEL, {TOTALLY FULL}, GAGE READS 3/4 TANK
CAUSE: IRRATIC
000555 Interrogating fault memory in diagnosing system

1612505 REPLACED BOTH FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNITS,
78 WB 0.18 (N/C)

1 16-14-6-752-499 SUCTION UNIT (N/C)
1 16-14-6-755-879 FUEL SENSOR (N/C)
