so in everyday driving, spirited at times, but mostly comuting with fun on the on/off ramps, how much better would the ITB be than just a high flow throttle body from dinan, and of course the price is a huge difference, but disregarding price for the time being and speaking strictly performance would it be worth putting on a daily driver? or am i way off? (keep in mind i had to ask what a ITB was..lol)

For this kind of money we could piece together a conversion kit and strap on ITB's from the European E36 M3 motor.

But kudos for re-inventing the wheel. Looks like a fun project.

Unfortunately we have been very side tracked with Nissan VQ35 kits for the time being! That is over now, and we can get back to the BMW!

Amazing work, amazing everything but wrong cars and wrong engines. Go talk to the s54 and N54 guys about this, they have the pockets for 3k manifold.

Yeah, I'm sure E46 M3 owners would LOVE to buy an aftermarket ITB setup. Imagine the possible power gains from that....

Itb

Who cares about e46 owners, its time someone needs to help the m50 community out. Individual itb's is a great way to add performance and style to the car. If people arent interested enough to build in quantity then do it on an individual basis. Im willing to drop some coin on that setup whenever its ready.

Hey, count me as someone interested in better N/A HP. Way cooler than turbos, way more fun. If it costs a bit of coin but gives great results well I will start saving. Looking at your website it looks like the ITBs for E36 is not for sale yet, but do you have any results for this project yet? Numbers? Anything else you are making to improve output from an M50 engine?

This thread is still perfectly serviceable. Reduce, reuse and recycle- the key to internet sustainability.

It is "serviceable", but don't expect any input from the creator of this thread, he's long gone, and I doubt he'll pop back in to answer your questions anytime soon

It was worth a shot. I suppose I will have to email the company.
BTW, why do you say "long gone"- do you have some knowledge about whether they gave up on ITBs for e36?

k so I guess no appearance on the E30 forum..

I need a CPR emoticon, cause I think we should resuscitate this thread. But looks like I will have to look elsewhere on the internets.

ITB's would be sweet. But alas, the dream for me has always been an S54 swap.
