Talking Guess what's sitting in my driveway!

I did it! I drove everything, everywhere. I read everything, everywhere. I asked a million questions, drove my husband and co-workers nuts, and then yesterday I chose the X5.

It's Titanium Silver/Black Leather, Premium, Cold Weather, Rear Climate + Auto Transmission. I have had it less than 24 hours, have put more than 100 miles on it and have washed it already.

It joins my husband's 2001 330i (black on black) in our garage (thank god for the folding in mirrors or it wouldn't make it).

The dog likes it, too.

Congratulations suzer!!!

:-)))

Having 2 BMWs in the driveway or the garage is
the best!

My wife drives an X5 too, but I like to take
it out at least once a week...

Unfortunately, the dog is white. I'm hoping that shedding on leather will be better than shedding on cloth, but even if it isn't, it's ok.

Pictures to come soon (of the X5, not the dog).

Awesome!

How about a X5 3.0 vs 330 comparison?

I can do that... I've had both! The 3.0 engine really moves the 330i, while it's plentiful torque can scoot the X5 admirably as well. They are both very different vehicles. In fact, they are just about complete opposites on their intended missions.

Congrats Suzer, I am sure you will love the X5. I've found ours to be the perfect compromise between sport and utility. It is our all-weather, utility, family vehicle with plenty of class, prestige, and safety in the mix.

I can't really compare the X5 to the 330, since I've only driven the 330 twice (husband is really protective of the car).

Also, I'm a wimp of a driver. During the test-drive yesterday, the BMW dealer was wincing at my submissive behavior - he had to teach me the golden (or is it Titanium) rule - "BMW drivers DO NOT slow down to merge onto the highway."

Once we get past the break-in period of the X5, though, I'll have him post a comparo.

I can tell you that the X5 drives nothing like the 4Runner, but that's probably pretty obvious. Right now I'm probably the most dangerous driver on the road in the safest vehicle - steering in the 4Runner was really sloppy and the X5 is really responsive. Don't even get me started on the brakes.....
