For any car that jerk at stop sign/red light

Recently i dropped my car at the dealer to fix the usb problem, They updated the Idrive and everything is working now. i've noticed that my car doesn't jerk no more at stop sign or red light. before the dealer visit, my car jerks at least 3 times a day. Now, jerk-free, i've been driving for like 2 days now, so sign of jerkiness, thought i share w/ anyone who has this problem.
The hard part is getting the dealer doing an update unless you have similar problems like mine.

Can you be more specific about what you mean by "jerking"?

What i mean is when you stop at the red light/stop sign completely, then realease the brake, your car would not start going forward smoothly or kinda jump forward or hard acceleration. Some of us have this problem and many don't.

Sounds kind of like mine before doing that transmission reset trick.

Mine does that, but only when the car is warming up in the morning.

Please let me know what the transmission reset trick is. I just had my car in to the dealer and told the Service people to take my car for a drive. Whenever I come to a rolling stop (not completely stopped) and hit the gas, it seems like the transmission takes about 1 second to respond, and then when the tranny finds the gear it wants, it snaps you back in your seat.

The service associate told me it because the car has so much torque. He said I just have to get used to the car and learn how to feather the gas pedal.

I would appreciate anyone's input on what I need to tell the BMW service people.

i love my car..but after having it a month, i have to say..it does hesitate and jerk sometimes when starting from a standstill. imo, i think its a combo of turbo lag and a powerful engine. having said that, i think BMW could have done a better job on the auto trans when in first gear.
