Oh yeah, the car runs so much better now! I guess the timing and adjusted valvetrain brought the M20 back into her sweet spot

Actually it is a 250R. I couldn't believe it myself when I saw it.

This is a commuter/ learn on bike. I took the MSF course and they strongly disuede you from getting anything bigger than this or a Buell Blast for the first year or two. After that this goes to the GF and hello ZX-6R. My buddy just bought a the ZX and is kicking himself after seeing mine for half the price and half the intimidation factor. He has already accidentally put a hole in his garage with the front tire of the 6R....

Edit: Jack MOOOVE!!!

tha 08 250 R is a beautiful bike...talk about makeovers. the older models look like kiddy toys. good decision on the 250. was planning on getting on myself. but id just opt for a zx-6 or an old f4i 600 and mod the throttle so it reacts like a 250...

im goin to take the course with the salesman from ducati (i already have some riding experience from downhill racing, some dirtbike time, and a road trip on a suzuki intruder 800) and hes willing to throw me on the 08 duc hypermotard. its a 1100 90 degree v-twin. i just need the 12K or 200 a month to afford it.

Oh, okay, that makes sense - I was going to ask why you were selling the BFG's. I like them - that's what I have now and prolly what I will get next. Then a set of the TireRack rims from that thread on r3v with some NT-01's as my dedicated track setup

Yeah, the elephant guy. The Kazera's are nice but I think I want 15x8. How are th R1's working for you?

yes. 15 x 8 would be nice.. i'm waiting on that set but i fear it will not materialize anytime soon. r1's are awesome.. lots of grip and pretty progressive. i think they are great for someone making the transition to r-comps like I am. plus they come shaved. just needs heat-cycling.

I'm wondering whether to move up to Rcomps now, or wait for three more HPDE weekends and then start next season on R's. What I may do is run the first two sessions on Saturdays on my street tires, then finish the weekend on the R's. That way I become reacquainted with the track and then move to the stickier tires. (I take the summer off from DE's - too hot here in SoCal My next DE weekend is in October )
