Another pic of new 5er

Looks like a more realistic guess than the others. Styling cues from 02 3er and the E65. I kinda like it, even if the trunk is somewhat Stratus-esque.

By the way, this came from another person on another board, I just thought I'd share it here.

To me, that's not bad at all.

Edit:

Although the kidney grill resembles Pontiac's...

Yeah, first thing that came to my mind was: Pontiac. Yikes. Take away the Roundels from it and you might guess that's it's a new Bonneville.

Question Ya know what I'm thinking...

I don't think they'll really integrate the kidneys that much- I mean, they kinda don't look like kidneys anymore and that would be a ha-YUGE departure from tradition.

I think they'll be a lil pointed to the hood like the 02 E46 sedans, but that these are really just interpretations from artists who have no real idea and a Grand Am stuck in their head when they start drawing the grill.

I mean, I know a lot of people don't like the E65, but its grill doesn't belong on a Pontiac, why would they throw one like that on the 5?

Then again, maybe I just have too much faith in BMW.

I think GM should consider suing Bangle for copyright infringement.

Here's from a German magazine that I bought when I was in Amsterdam couple of weeks ago.

Those pics from the German magazine (Auto Bild?) look like a 7/8 size E65 - fugly, just awful! Has BMW and/or Bangle lost their collective minds - first the hideous E65, then the botched restyling of the E46, now this ugly new 5 series - one bad design after another. If they keep this "controversial" styling trend going, they are going to lose a lot of customers, including me. I don't care how well their cars drive - if the styling is not appealing, I'm not buying.
